The Official Transfer Window Thread

Welcome to The Official Transfer Window Thread! This thread will involve discussions about all transfer news and rumours throughout football. Feel free to talk about who your club needs and how the player would fit in the squad.

Some developing rumours are:

Ronaldo to United
Sanchez to City
The Ox to Several PL Clubs

Here are some questions to help the debate:

1. What positions do you need signing?
2. What players would you like?
3. Which player from a rival would you most like?
4. Who needs to improve the most in the PL?
5. If you were given 100m to spend, what would you do for you club? Any other money spent must be from players being sold.

Most anything that appears here will be a 'sources suggest' by tomorrow. You are making already lazy journos even lazier by handing them these 'stories' on a plate. At least before they had to dream up their own...

Ffs just read that city are monitoring Aubameyang's situation, is that to play at RWB in case they don't get Walker or Alves

1. What positions do you need signing?
CB, CM and possibly CF and RB - unsure about Janssen and these Walker rumours...

2. What players would you like?
Wanted Tielemans or Dahoud don't necessarily need him but I like the rumours about Lemar. Fekir from Lyon perhaps.

3. Which player from a rival would you most like?
Unrealistically - KdB
Realistically - Gueye

4. Who needs to improve the most in the PL?
Southampton. Poor show last season.

5. If you were given 100m to spend, what would you do for you club? Any other money spent must be from players being sold.
Increase the wage budget by about £30m and then spend the rest on top young talent across Europe.

During their era of dominance in the 70's and 80's, Liverpool didn't even have a youth team.

What a load of rubbish. Liverpool won the Central League 13 times from 1970 to 1989

City were always better at developing local talent than us.

The Glazers have backed the various United managers in the transfer market though, why should the fans complain?

Hikes in ST prices didn't help

Wouldn't matter to the 606 matchthreads

The Central League was for reserve players with no age restrictions.
