Better Call Saul

Would this show be a 20th as popular if it wasn't a prequel to Breaking Bad?

I know it's a slow burner but it's really starting to take the pissss. The season finale was one of the most boring and anticlimactic things I've watched since, well the season 2 finale.

Yea, Chuck went off the wagon. Who cares, everybody hates him anyway. Is this the sort of payoff we are meant to get for watching. I think this is an insult to those who only ever gave this series a chance because of what it was a prequel to.

If the next season doesn't start off with something INTERESTING happening then I'm done. Anyone else feel the same?

The finale was a masterpiece. You clearly don't have the attention span or brain capacity to appreciate how they build tension and suspense, and how all the Jimmy's actions (and Chuck's own actions) led to that final moment. It's epic storytelling.

People who don't like BCS because it's slow are the same people who think the Fast and Furious movies are good. They just want non stop action over plot and character development.

I cannot stand Fast and Furious, or any other banal nonsense of its ilk..

My top show is the Wire, which is a series you would never accuse of being fast paced. Probably the best character piece, across a huge cast, there has ever been

I watch Fargo, which is a slow burner. Unlike BCS it actually has interesting things happen.

BCS is leaning on Mike for ANY interest whatsoever. I will finish it, I have three episodes left, but it is reluctantly

Breaking Bad is the most overrated TV show in recent times.

Same IMDb score as Game of Thrones? Get out of here.

I watched all 5 seasons and only the final season had me on edge.

ps. Prison Break season 1 is the single greatest season of any TV show I've watched. However, in terms of consistency, Game of Thrones has to be the best.

Are you on a wind up? Game of Thrones is the most overrated show of all time. It's absolute nonsense. Breaking Bad has the record for the only show or movie on IMDB to hold a perfect 10 score, for the episode Ozymandias. If that episode didn't have you on the edge of your seat the TV is not for you my friend.
Prison Break is tosh. To say it is better than The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad etc suggests you need a thorough examination by a top notch shrink. And again, Game of Thrones is ridiculous nonsense.

Can't disagree with a lot of this until the prison break comment.

I liked Breaking Bad but some of the episodes were poor and it IS the most overrated show of recent times. Really is.

GOT, Sopranos, Wire all better.

Even Stranger things for a 6 or 8 episode season was better imo than any single BB season.

I've noticed alot of people who don't seem to rate BB as a top 3 show of all time call it slow/over rated. Mainly slow. BCS is going through the same process. Actually thought that season 3 was the best yet. There's Walking dead slow then there's BB/BCS slow. Difference is Walking dead is just bad, same old repetitive stuff. With the other two, it's attention to detail that all counts at the end. Not many shows that pay so much attention to every single thing. You won't find a pot hole with those two.

No difference between the walking dead poor espidoes and breaking bad episodes. Seems that people jump on a bandwagon and no matter what people say about it they still herald it as one of the best. I've read Lord of the rings and wheel of time books, and still think BB was poor/slow at times. Despite being good on the whole.

BB was slow at times, and I think you can skip season 1 and not lose anything in term of plot or story. But I can't remember thinking it was ever poor.

As good as Prison Break was there were quite a lot of similarities with Shawshank Redemption...

I'm still reeling at comparisons with quiet walking dead and quiet BB

BB at its worst was better than 99% of walking dead episodes. And I say that as a fan of both

BCS far surpasses BB as a character / relationship study. It's obviously not gripping in the same way, because it's not plot driven to the same degree. Having said that, it delivers plenty of plot tension in the way you see Jimmy wrestle with his opposing instincts and so many times nearly taking the path that would lead him away from the ruptures that we already know have to come about. The loving detail, the craftsmanship, is the same across both series. I like them both. BB was more addictive. BCS manages to be funnier and more poignant.

100% agree with this

The Walking Dead was one of the dullest programs I have had the misfortune to watch. A zombie version of Eastenders
