European Qualifiers.
Where logic and reason go out the window in favour of panic and fear.
Where you hope that Mo Bangura cant play aganist u because u completely forget how schite he is and instead convince yourself that the cvnt is Pele.
Where u hide behind your couch, peeking up occassionally to check you havent conceded a goal.
honestly, never fear playing barca, or any other team in the groups despite the possibility of a drubbing, but the qualifiers scare me.
Just now its Linfield, no matter how schite i know they are it doesn't matter.
They are barcelona and we need to be careful against them
The most terrifying time of the year...

when are the league fixtures out btw?

Linfield is a tough game. The Irish league is about the equivalent of our Championship / Lg 1. So it's a proper cup tie. And styles make games. They may lack quality but they won't lack effor ... with the added obvious rivalries
I can see a tight 1st leg 1-1 to keep 2nd leg interesting. But you'll pump them at CP. 5-1 Agg Celtic
But u never know. Pre-/early season games are always fraught with danger as you never know what form and fitness will be like
Which is why our game against this Luxembourg mob then Limassol will not necessarily be a cakewalk because we have the added complication of a whole new team...
Looking forward to the games tho

After the euphoria of last season (particularly the way it ended), it will definitely be a massive anti-climax if we fail to qualify for the UCL this season

Linfield got beat from Queen of the South in the Irn Bru cup last year.

I watched the Beer-sheva game at my uncles.
I missed the first 10 minutes so only found out at HT that they missed a penalty early doors.
Last 10 minutes I was certain everytime they got the ball it was a goal. i never even celebrated. I just walked out and went home.
Looking back they never properly threatened us

The Irish league is no where near the standard of the Scottish championship
League 1 at absolute best ffs.

It's also close to that time of the year, they will be extra pumped up!

Gotta think we're in a far better position for the qualifiers with the continuity of more or less the same team and BR knowing what to expect .
Still nerve shredding though considering what is at stake.
