There are more rumours that we are interested in Traore. I know he splits opinions, but just wondering what everyone on here thinks.
On the plus side, he is very skillful and powerful, and incredibly fast. And he's only 21 years old.
On the negative side, in his two seasons in the premier league he has as many relegations (2) as he has assists! That is quite a statistic. And zero goals. So there's a good argument that he has no end product.
Having said that - I suspect that Conte sees Traore as a diamond in the rough. I can imagine Conte converting him to a wing back, in the same way that he did with Moses - and he certainly has all the physical attributes to make him a great player in that position. And rather than just give him a free role to wander and meander as he sees fit (which is what it looked like at Boro), I am confident that Conte would drill his requirements into him. When Chelsea played Middlesbrough earlier in the season, Traore was Boro's standout player - he tore through our defence frequently, but lacked direction. I am of the opinion that Conte could provide him with the kind of direction to make buying him a worthwhile risk. What does everyone else think?

Traore is a very interesting player, very raw but was the only boro player who actually played well against us. He's raw but bags of potential. If he were to sign ( which I doubt ) I'd be interested to see him.

This is what makes me laugh about our board!
Every youth player on our books is rubbish/will never make it/needs to go on loan and yet a rumour comes up like this, about an average Joe from elsewhere and people are all for it.
Farcical!!
And he was useless at Stamford Bridge!

Brummie i don't want Traore either. And i don't think all the youth players on our books are rubbish, i just think most of them aren't at the level we aspire too.

Of course they're not RM. But some of them may well be, but we never invest in the time in them to find out if they do have that that extra that can put them at the level we want.
There are half a dozen that I think have real potential but sadly I don't think we'll ever find out what they're made of.
Baker, Chalobah and RLC for example are now at the age were they are not kids any longer and we're holding their careers back. If we don't have any intention of using them now, the kindest thing to do would be to let them go permanently so they can develop their careers elsewhere!

Brummie i don't think we are holding Chalobah back, he's playing at his level in my opinion which is a solid squad option.
He's probably got a permanent place with us playing that role or he (like Bertrand) can seak a more regular role lower down the league. I hope he choses the former but if he opts for the latter then good luck to him.
As for RLC, he isn't even PL level in my opinion, every time i see him play he reminds me of my cousin (who hates football) when he was coerced into playing with us.

I'm still uncertain over RLC, we don't see him (familiar theme) often enough to form a concrete opinion of. I will admit though he does look a bit languid most of the time and I much prefer Baker from what I've seen of him.
The kid that excites me the most though, ATM, is young Sterling.

No, he went on loan to Huddersfield with Izzy Brown. played a part in the play off semi and final from the bench.
I assume he's returned to the club now??

This report quotes him as saying he would like to go back on loan to Huddersfield next season as well.

Tammy just won a penalty for the U21s v Poland and Baker buried it.
Nat went off injured.
