Could well be. This was the period SAF and Gill liked to tie most of our business up, though.

Times really have changed.

Last season we were pretty decisive - most of it tied up early. I guess some deals have longer timelines even if most of the pieces are in place.

As for the official start date, transfers are agreed and announced outside the window. Official registrations may have to wait but clubs can do business in June. Lindelof is a prime example.

Maybe we should get a womens team. Man Utd should get a womens team soon as our competitors have them and it will stop players moving to them,
