Bakayoko signing

Not sure why so many are against it really.

All the arguments i keep hearing is he isn't amazing technically and that we need some great creative player next to Kante. Well what was our main problem last season, was it lack of creativity, guile and chances creation in the flat track games or lack of physical presence in the CM in the big games?

We had no trouble picking up points vs the sides outside top 6 last season, we only dropped points on three occasions and without meaning to sound like Robb two of them were down to wasteful finishing. In the big games (especially vs Spurs) we often lost the midfield battle and that was mainly down to Matic being weak and unable to escape against a press/battle and failing to bring the ball forward. That is Baka's main strength and against Spurs in the CL he dominated a midfield we couldn't get to grips with.

Now back to the creativity argument, he may not be creative in the purest form but he is in another way. How many decent attacks started back in the day through an Essien burst in the middle, likewise to this current day with Spurs and Dembele? That's what Baka brings to the table and if he wipes 2/3 players out with a surging run that would give our attackers plenty of room to cause havoc. Bakayoko has the potential to reach Essien/Vidal's level. He may not score many goals and get many assists in himself, but he is a major reason Monaco did last season and will be a major reason we do if we get him.

Kante was just as bad as Matic in those big games. Got bullied.

I don't want to see Matic sign for Man U and see Chelsea ending up with Bakayako and I am not really excited by him though I have not seen Bakayoko play once.I have seen Matic play and he is good enough for at least 2 more seasons with Chelsea.

We should sign Cabaye.

I can't really comment as I've never seen him play!

Don't really know where these 'isn't technically good enough' jibes are coming from. What I've seen of him, he is very good on the ball. Uses his strength excellently. Which is something that Matic doesn't do enough for me. He is quite similar to Matic on the ball, but gets it going far quicker. Similar to how Kante has a shift in gear.

What's impressed me most, is that in his first season at this level, and having to compete with Fabinho and Moutinho, he has been a stand out performer in that Monaco side.

One thing you should know by now is that some people just chat absolute sh!! T!
They just make comments for the sake of it.
Like I keep saying, if nurtured well, Bakayoko will turn out to be like Yaya Toure.

It even baffles me more when some fans compare Challobah with Bakayoko.

Chalobah is U-21 English international and Bakayako is 22 years old.

Do you reckon Wilkins told Carlo not to sign Neymar (in 2010) because we had Kakuta and Lalkovic? if his Chala/Baka comments are anything to go by, i wouldn't be surprised.
