Costa won't be still be here next season unless it's because he's been Malouda'd to the U21's

I wish someone would explain this dislike of Costa from so many Chelsea fans here. I watched every game he played this term and on at least 4 occasions he won us the needed points with a late goal or unselfish assist. Costa was a complete team player this season. He tempered his behaviour and showed discipline and restraint. He was our highest scorer as well.
Why does he deserve such nasty comments after contributing so much to the team effort. This talk of leaving was the media, not him, when asked he always said the same "I'm Chelsea" , but many of my fellow fans clearly think otherwise.

Tway I do not think it is a case of people disliking him, more can you trust him.
So let me ask you this question, in January reports were big bust up him wanting to leave for China, now I do believe this happened and the fall out afterwards.
So now to the question, what happens if he stays, all is going well and we are challenging at the top, suddenly come January, Athletico Madrid ban is up, they make an offer, which I have no doubt will happen and he says he wants to go, so we either say no and have one unhappy player on our hands who will no doubt be of no use for rest of season, or we sell him and by January who do we sign, every top class scoring forward would have been snapped up.
That leaves us in a right mess.
So would you trust him?
And by the way my opinion is, once Conte makes up he's mind that is an end to it. if he says Costa can go then he is going

Costa comes in for a fair share of unwarranted flak at times, but also some warranted flak too.

This issue about Costa leaving is not about his ability as a player, but his temperament and personality. It is almost certain he will leave this summer. If i were Conte i would want him gone and i can't see any bridge mending between the two of them.

I assume you are not local to the club and the issues that have created by Costa.

For your information he has played his part in nearly derailing the club over the last two seasons. FACT.

He has shown zero aptitude for loyalty to the club which is not what great sides are built on.

I believe his ability on the pitch is debased by his poor moral compass and his decisive approach .

Conte does not want a player who is relied upon in such a way to be untrustworthy.

These issues are real unfortunately.
