A few weeks ago SSN reported that our 3 main targets this Summer were Lacazette, Lemar and Mbappe, with us wanting to sign 2 of the 3.
It's looking very likely we are going to sign the former 2 players, with Mbappe way out of our league financially, and probably in terms of the competition from much more attractive clubs we simply aren't anywhere near at the moment.
I'd be very happy if we signed Lacazette and Lemar. I'm not quite sure Lacazette is the answer to our problems but he is a proven goal scorer, who can play with his back to goal and run in behind defences, so effectively the first player we've had on our books with those attributes since Adebayor.
Lemar all round seems a quality player, based on what was effectively his breakthrough season last year with Monaco. Again, he is a player with attributes we haven't had on our books for a very long time. Quick, good dribbler, great set pieces and very importantly is his first instinct is to put the ball in the box. I can't remember the last time we've had a left winger who is left footed and just wants to put the ball in the box instead of cutting inside all the time. Giroud and/or Lacazette will thrive on his service, if either of them are here next season.
The worry for me is, with Alexis, Giroud, Welbeck, Walcott, Ozil, Chamberlain, Lucas and Iwobi all on our books already, you wonder how we are gonna fit all these attackers in, especially if we continue with the 3 at the back.
It's all well and good bolstering the squad with quality additions but if it means we are gonna lose Alexis and Giroud, who seem the 2 most likely to leave, then it's counterproduct for me if anything. It doesn't really matter who we sign this Summer if we let Alexis go. His signature is the most important one we can get his Summer.

I'd be happy with us signing Lacazette, Lemar and Mahrez with Kolasinac already signed.
I really think there is a big chance of us losing Ozil, Sanchez and Oxlade this summer and if thats the case the signings above will not be enough.

I think I'd rather have Lacazette + Lemar over Mbappe.
If we can somehow get Mbappe + Lemar I think I'd drown in a pool of my own spunk.
I'm aware Mbappe is a massive long shot btw, but a guy can dream.

We could spend £130Mil on Mbappe lol or we could get Lacazette, Lemar and one/two more players. It's a no brainer for a club like Arsenal.

I think we will revert back to 4231 by default but hopefully we use both. You can fit an extra attacker in a 4231 and wenger must be tempted by that.

I think in terms of chances created and goals, the 3-4-2-1 system got the best of the team so although reversing back would mean an additional attacker, it wasn't working for us.
