200mln for Kane ????

Reported in Today's rags that Spurs have told United that It would need to be a minimum of 200mln for us to even considering it.... Simple question... would you sell for that kind of money?

Personally I'd tell them to do one !!!! sick of selling to them, we've been a better team than them for the past couple of years & quite simply it sends the wrong message to our squad, our rivals & us fans

'Not arrogant just better'.....

7th, 4th, 5th and 6th in recent seasons says otherwise, unless it's in comparison with West Brom

Kane is priceless to us while he wants to remain at the club. The money is irrelevant. Won't find a better replacement for a frontman anywhere for this league.

Agree - you won't find better. Proven Prem goalscorer. But whether you like it or not the stadium move will be costly and selling one of your prime assets (Kane or Alli) would help you immeasurably. You've only got to look at my club (Arsenal) to see how moving stadium can mean having to sell your best players for the greater long-term good.

Perhaps a better bet would be for your guys to keep the likes of Kane (who is so symbolic of Spurs' rise in stature) and sell others like Walker, Eriksen, Rose and even Lloris and make the cash you need that way?

football is a business, therefore the money is never irrelevant. particularly for the project we are currently undertaking.

You can be rest assured that Levy will get top dollar if you do sell anyone. You wouldn't want to play Poker with that geezer as he's as cool as it gets whereas Gazidis would fold straightaway even if he was holding 4 Aces.

It's irrelevant to me as a fan. I would not want to sell him no matter what the cost.

The point when they want to go is when we'll sell, but at the moment they're happy to stay so there is no need to sell them for even these large figures.

It would be completely daft and undo all the good work we've done to get where we are, to sell any of our big players right now.

I get what you are saying and agree from a fans' point of view. However, you aint paying the bills for the stadium move or the rental of Wembley.

Kane and the others are assets and the club might feel that they need to cash in on some of those assets in order to settle debts which could affect the long term future of the club. Doubt you'd sell Kane because of his iconic status and apparent love for the club but others might be available especially if Spurs can't pay the going rate in wages at the moment.

Arsenal for example, didn't want to sell RvP, Nasri and Fabregas but were forced to either because they either couldn't match other clubs' salary offers or because they couldn't promise new big name signings which would match the players' ambitions.

Anyway, I'm probably completely wrong but it's just my view from the outside looking in.
