So is Mendy on the mend

Looks like Mendys on his way back to France
Bordeaux or possibly King Caudios sniffing at Nantes.
Just hope we get a reasonable price for him ( we paid
13 million for him a year ago) and that he passes a medical.
At least it answers my question on an earlier thread.
Whats happening with Mendy ?
All the more reason for another centre midfielder purchase

I wouldn't be devastated if he left.

He one player we never go see enough off really
And his first few appearances just looked like he needed to get up to speed
Any others we know are going ?

Seems he is now 'obsessed' with a move to Bordeaux. Disappointing for such statements given he has 3 years to run on his contract, but he has endured a torrid time with Leicester and perhaps cannot be blamed for wanting out.

Feel a bit dissapointed in this. I know we didn't see much of Mendy but I thought there may have been a decent player in there somewhere and I thought he may have linked up nicely with Drinkwater.

Let's see if we go all out to get Sigurdsson now - although the £40mil reported fee might put a bit of a spanner in the works...

Is this the end of Mendy?

I'm still not sure exactly what people see in someone with no demonstrable strength, pace, fitness, shooting, influence, composure or tackling ability but I guess we all look for different things. Perhaps others have noticed that he was really good at turning around and running after the player that had just skinned him when caught out of position.

It's a shame he was injured with mysterious random problems so often, and that he was unable to play through them like Drinkwater did. Although obviously he's plenty fit enough now to believe that he'd pass a medical at his preferred French club. Just one of those unfortunate things I suppose.

Ok, ok. I'm being harsh and sarcastic. But I still saw nothing from him that made me understand why we signed him.

Dont think you are being too harsh Dunge.
Think we bought him after losing Kante and everybody expected him to be the new N,Golo which to be fair it would have been hard for any player to be. Golo was just one on his own as Chelsea have found out

Mendy wasnt helped by his nasty injury against Arsenal and by the time he was properly fit (if indeed he ever was) we had N,Didi. Just hope he is fit enough now to pass a medical.
