Anyone listen to Podcasts?

I know we had a discussion on it quite a while ago when I didn't really listen to any.

Right now my favourite is at the start of it's third season - My Dad Wrote A P0rno

Absolutely hilarious and cringey at the same time.

Another favourite just finished - Sav Fred and the Ping Pong guy. It's Robbie Savage, Freddie Flintoff and Matthew Syed (who wrote Bounce the book about the 10000 hours theory). Really good, very funny and discuss different topics each week around sport. It finished this week after 20 shows.

So right now I am finally getting around to listening to Serial. It has been recommended for quite some time so giving it a go. I'm about half way through the first season. It is basically Making a Murderer but on audio with another highly contentious story.

So come on what are your recommendations?

Those Conspiracy guys is good - Irish comedians that look at conspiracies in an in depth way but can be very funny.

Higherside chats is similar and can be really out there but sometimes are excellent.

Richie Allan is an Irish guy broadcasting out of Manchester. It's independent news.

Athletic Mince is very funny - Bob Mortimer talking football.

I've listened to My dad wrote a p()rn() - think it might have been on your recommendation on a podcast thread a wee while ago. Started listening to it in work whcih was a big mistake. I was sniggering like a schoolboy most of the afternoon

Yeah My Dad Wrote a should come with a warning. Thankfully I listen in the car on the way to and from work. I did listen once while walking through the shopping centre and snorted pretty loudly in Sainsbury's The girl serving asked what I was listening to "erm a comedy show..." while the y are laughing at nipples being described as rivets

Those Conspiracy sounds like my cup of tea so I'll give that a pop

Definitely recommend it. Good sound quality. Can be very long - 5 hours - but the quality of chat is very good throughout. The Sandyhook shootings, Boston Bombings and Vatican episodes are good. Boston Bombings one especially is eye opening!

Just downloaded the second episode (9/11)

A few hours might suit me as my drive to work is half an hour minimum each way so have a few days spare right now for listening.

I go on my hols this weekend so will download a few episodes for chilling around the pool

It's a story about the Hienz company from a few years back. A bit out of date now as they have 57 now

Russel Brand - Under the Skin is great. He chats to philosophers, thinkers, professors etc.

Really interesting. The one with Yanis Varoufakis is especially good, and the Adam Curtis one as well.

The Dollop is good

2 yank comedians talking about weird American history events. How stupid and racist is American history.
