yes but the 500 S&W is longer, has more of a charge and is heavier than the 50 AE

The gun may be bigger but the round is the same diameter and will make the same sort of mess of any piece of meat put in front of it.

Your link shows the same calibre bullet.

The cartridge is bigger and holds more propellant but when all's said and done people using those guns are usually within feet of their target so the end result would still be the same.

Also, I'm not getting into a my gun is bigger debate.

It doesn't matter who has the bigger barrel, most propellant, .357 magnum or S&W 500.

If I get my shot off first it doesn't matter what you are holding does it.
