Aguero's Value

It's probably just tabloid nonsense, but the suggestion that City are on the verge of selling Aguero to Chelsea, raises interesting hypotheticals:

1. City fans, what is the minimum fee you would want to see recouped, to assuage your heart-break?
Perhaps indicating how you would like to see that money spent.

2. Chelsea fans, what is the most you want to see invested?
Above that amount, how would you prefer to that money spent? x

Yes melton, although even a pragmatist such as I think that's low-balling it.
And the success of such a move for City very much depends on the system Pep will use, the potential of current players and how that money is reinvested.

Blarmy that's a reasonable concern, of course investing in potential has equal but opposite risks, and for every Torres there is a Van Persie.
Hence why so many City fans are opposed to such a transfer.

However even though I fear selling Aguero to Chelsea (at any price) would essentially hand them next seasons Premier League title; my gut instinct is that moving him on for a significant fee is of long-term benefit to City x

Not really, not with his injury record in recent years. Investing £60m -£70m on someone who will have no resale value ? Short term it could prove beneficial, but long term is a terrible business.

I will reiterate I think his injury record is a bit overblown, he's played 30 or over league games each of the last three seasons and last season had two suspensions.

I would say when he does get injured, it takes a few games for him to get fully back up to speed again.

Yeah forgot about his bad temper. He is now getting easily frustrated and therefore tend to blow the fuse more often. Conte doesen' t like ill disciplined players, I think this is one of the reasons he dumped Costa, as he was playing on the edge, hence a liability.

I am not suggesting he will continue this trend, but it is a risk that needs to be factored into the equation.

Agree with that, although one of the main one people that seems to increase his temper is playing in your defence

The Winston Reid incident was harsh, his shirt was being pulled and there was minimal, to no contact.

And Reid threw a punch.

If the ref had done his job then side show bob wouldn't have been on the field.
