We're in big trouble this season.
As it stands we've got something like sixteen registered outfield players and EPL rules state you must have a minimum of eight home grown players in your squad for the season and... well, we currently have three.
This summer we've sold
- Ake
- Atsu
- Begovic
- Chalobah*
- Cuadrado
- Solanke*
- Terry*
- Traore
And notable players we've loaned include
- Abraham*
- Aina*
- Kane*
- Loftus-Cheek*
- Piazon
- Van Ginkel
The homegrown players we currently have on our books are Fabregas, Moses and Cahill. But if we had kept some of the players I've put asterisks beside we'd have easily met our quota.
As it stands we'll either have to promote players like Blackman, Hector, Kalas, Brown and Feruz, and they aren't going to do a job, or pay over the top for average English players.
What are we doing?! I'm starting to get very worried about our situation. I know the window has only just opened but we need more than three or four players. We need those three/four players PLUS a whole host of home grown players.

You are very optimistic that we will actually make signings
Let alone signings of any note or upgrades in the players we have let go
The club is in disarray at the moment I'm sorry it's criminal we have gone this far why are we doing this again after a league win?!?
I get not signing any noteable players BUT DONT SELL OR LOAN GOOD PLAYERS AND NOT REPLACE
It's actually cringey when people are not concerned, go on about aubumayang and morata and sandro and even laughable that 32 yrs old fernando llorente as a genuine good option.
At the moment things are worse than they were under Jose and won't be surprised to see conte walk before the start of the season
That also might have something to do with us not signing no one because of the uncertainty over conte

Well it won't start well that's guaranteed 4 pre season games with barely a squad to fill the bench and our best player out till September

If Conte has us fighting relegation at Christmas with all but 1 player in the worst form of his career then yes he will be sacked and it would be fully deserved.
But it won't happen.
