Why?

Well primarily it would be fun to show the Americans how to have an actual atmosphere. Second it would be a selling point for the PL in the US and thirdly it would help grow the league out there if they had a couple of games in Europe.

An atmosphere in a friendly with a us team? Unlikely. There is far more interest in clubs going over there than then coming over here.
