was thinking the same at the time, and then appealing against the pen ffs! yeah he's looked shakey but new team, new system/tactics, pre season, i'll give him the benefit of the doubt until the 1st few 4/5 months of the season at least

It was a tackle akin to a Sunday League first few minutes against some pacey winger, but normally done on the half way line to 'let him know you're there' early on.

And I thought he was having a comfortable game til that mad moment.

Bailly was so fackin good though, I know it was Madrids first pre-season game but Benzema was completely bullied.

For under £30m Jose has found a real gem of a centerback for years to come. He's a lot younger than I thought when he signed.

I trust Jose on CBs, so I'm hoping Lindelof will settle in okay in time, can't read too much into pre-season. He's young, eager, out of match practice just like our other players, and learning his team mates and new systems etc.

Remember wondering where the feck SAF had found the two clowns Vidic and Evra when they made their debuts

I'm pretty confident Lindelof will come off as a good player for us but I think he'll be in and out of the side this year.
Takes a while to get adjusted to the PL.
