Not sure where i stand on this one tbh.
on one hand, i can't go the self indulgent schite of the GB, they do those banners knowing full well the club will be hammered, they have an ego that is largely outgrowing them and that needs to stop, they are fans of celtic, not the only fans of celtic and certainly not more so than anyone else.
on the other hand u can't deny they are positive in terms of an atmosphere and 99% of the stadium were singing rebs the other night so no moral high ground from them surely. They do fantastic displays and the club are more than happy to take credit for the atmosphere as selling point & publicity, they are also more than happy to put these displays in frames and sell photos off the back of it. Happy when it suits them.
They accomodated the GB with safe standing, so the GB should respect that, but Celtic ought to have a word with the policing in that area, its a disgrace a times and its been going on since i sat over that way, before they moved them round a section.
The club ought to start defending the fans, i don't see many statements about the bottles or people running on the park to attack our players, seem quite happy to pick and choose when they want to support the supporters.
The cheek of the club to condemn the banner after having a similar image on the front page of the CELTIC VIEW is ridiculous quite frankly, not only that but they again seem to pick and choose when they want to be "steeped in irish history".
the GB need to stop the banners that will get the club in trouble, and continue the GOOD work they do, and not the egotistical schite. The club on the other hand need to grow a pair and start defending the fans.

The club hold most of the cards here. Do the GB really believe people will stop going if they do get banned altogether? And do they also believe that someone else won't form their own group to start the singing?

The drum is used to start the songs, you very rarely hear it after the chants get going.
Ronnie Hawthorn is a tadjer anyway, he's been trying to get them out from day 1.

FS, you kants sound like the idiots who turn up for the big games, 5 minutes late, tell me I'm in their seat then head down with 10 minutes of the first half remaining for 2 pies, 4 slices of pizza, bag of McCoys and 4 cups of juice then get back 5 minutes into the 2nd half and get me to stand up to let them in again!!
