If we have a chance of winning the league it might come down to getting a good start.
Here are our first 10 games
West Ham home
Swansea away
Leicester home
Stoke away
Everton home
Saints away
Palace home
Liverpool away
Huddersfield away
Spurs home
Obviously last season no game was a gimme but with Lukaku hopefully the smaller sides should be put away with a bit more ruthlessness. If we can win 8 of those and perhaps draw a couple we could go into winter with a bit of a lead over the rest and who knows after that?
We got off to a good start last season but the loss at home to City knocked a bit of the stuffing out of us. If we can get to the Liverpool game with a bit of a gap I don't think many of us would begrudge a Jose away bore draw to maintain some confidence.
Our first 10 games

Just can't predict anything nowadays. Especially with us so who knows.

Exactly.
Apparently making predictions based on how we know United can play under Mourinho is 'banter' though...

Well United did beat Leicester, Palace and Tottenham at home last season so you haven't used your empirical evidence very well in making your predictions.

Looking a thing all the 0s and 1s in our goalscoring column, and all the draws Lex has us down for, I'd say the emipirical data has been under the microscope and used very well

West Ham home (Close win)
Swansea away (Win)
Leicester home (Win)
Stoke away (Draw)
Everton home (Draw)
Saints away (Win) - if they lose Van Dijk
Palace home (Win)
Liverpool away - (Draw)
Huddersfield away - (Win)
Spurs home - (Park Bus Win)
7 wins will be a great start to the season.
If he takes the shackles off, we could win more games but I anticipate the Liverpool and Spurs games will see Jose's bus

I'd be disappointed if we didn't take 28 points from that start.

I'd be interested to see how many times a club has taken 28 points from 30 at any time, in any league, in any sport, in any country on any planet in any universe, in any multiverse.
