You may have a point but I can't get too excited that one of our first team players is injured. Lallana was excellent last season. He will be missed.

However Coutinho can, and with the addition of Salah, should imo play in a deeper role. Plus as you say, tbis is another reason why he should not be sold this summer.

Coutinho was always going to start in midfield over lallana anyway, no way did he buy salah to then leave coutinho at left wing

Having, admittedly sadly been hanging on every word our manager utters since his arrival at the club - he is the messiah - the very firm impression I get is that when he actually says something, Jurgen means it. Since day one when he said Couts wasn't going to be sold I've accepted it without challenge. The boss isn't or doesn't appear to be the kind to make rash statements. I think he's probably got the promise from FSG that he and he alone decides who is in and who is out. Despite all the smiles, ruthlessness doesn't even scratch the surface; it's his way or the highway. Couts stays. End of.

Lallana? That's really bad news.

No worries on the Lallana injury tbh, we have ample in mf its our one really strong area, Henderson, Can, Wij, Couts, Firmino, Grujic and Milner.

And i never thought Couts was leaving at ANY point, the press love a big name to writs sht about and this year its couts, thats all.

I think he is suggesting that Lallana has injured himself (taken one for the team) to guarantee Coutinho stays.

I might be wrong though.
