Team News
Leeds Utd
Leeds head coach Thomas Christiansen has a fully-fit squad to choose from for his first game in charge of the club. Summer signings Mateus Klich, Felix Wiedwald, Vurnon Anita, Caleb Ekuban, Samuel Saiz, Ezgjan Alioski and Matthew Pennington are all in contention for their debuts.
Christiansen must decide whether to stick with Wiedwald in goal after the German started in place of Rob Green in last week's friendly win against Oxford. Chris Wood, top goalscorer in the Championship last season, is likely to resume up front and midfielder Eunan O'Kane is expected to start after some impressive displays during pre-season.

Bolton
Parkinson has added to his promotion-winning squad with 10 new signings, all of which are available for Sunday's clash. Defenders Andrew Taylor, Stephen Darby, Mark Little and Reece Burke, midfielders Will Buckley, Sammy Ameobi and Josh Cullen and forwards Adam Le Fondre, Adam Armstrong and Aaron Wilbraham are all hoping to feature.

Match facts
◾Bolton have failed to score in three of their last five opening day bouts, winning just once (D2 L2).
◾Leeds' 0-3 defeat to QPR last term was their heaviest loss in a season opener since 1989/90 vs Newcastle (2-5).
◾Phil Parkinson has won four of his last seven opening day matches as manager in the Football League (D1 L2).
◾For the seventh consecutive season, Leeds start the season with a different manager (Simon Grayson, Neil Warnock, Brian McDermott, Dave Hockaday, Uwe Rosler, Garry Monk and Thomas Christiansen).
◾The Yorkshire side have failed to win their last 12 away games played on a Sunday in all competitions (D5 L7), scoring four times and conceding 19 in those 12 games.
◾Bolton won 86 points en route to promotion from League One last season, their best total in a single season since 2000-01 (87).

The start of the new season will see The Mighty Whites playing in Black and hopefully getting the new campaign off to a flying start ........I'm going for a 1-3 Scoreline with Roofey, Alioski and Wood finding the net .

love the calmness of anita but think bj should get a look and play anita in his more natural position.

New guys:
Penn looked solid, one suicide pass and misjudged the corner for the goal, so maybe not that solid.

Felix? Well we know TC wants a keeper to play libero. Me I prefer one that claims crosses/corners in his own 6 yard box.

Alioski was solid, good header for woods goal

Anita, really impressive

Old guys:
Phillips, a deflected goal and a scruffy one, so match winning hero but he wasn't in the game enough for me.

Roofe did well

Hernandez drifted in an out of the game but most if our good stuff came via him

Cooper played well
Ayling played well
Wood did what he does
O'Kane MOM for me, kept us ticking, worked hard, kept possession really well.

Well put Milkyboy, agree regarding Phillips, think we need to be coy on his general performance. I like that he gets stuck in and he plays for the shirt, but we're not dominating games, still, it cost us last season and it will this season. A league winning side would have seen today out comfortably and added a 4th and 5th.

Shaun, it's not much of an excuse but being forced into those subs didn't help , and Sacko should have buried his chance to give us the 4th goal.
