Of course, this could just be more media speculation... I really really hope so. Why can't we just be like other clubs who just get on with it, strengthening where needed, making clear statements of intent ?

The thing about this transfer window is clubs are digging their heels in about selling players to either get as much money as they can, with the Tv deal, or on principle to show money doesn't mean they have to give up players they don't want to sell. Look at Keita and VDV for us, Arsenal insisting Sanchez isn't for sale (and being happy to let him go on a free next season and United, Chelsea et al missing out on major targets.
