Crewe Alexandra V Bolton Wanderers

Bolton make the trip tonight to gresty road, a 49.60 mile journey down the m6 in the rush hour if setting off from the macron. First round of the newly named carabao cup and a repeat of the 2nd round tie 3 years ago when jermaine beckford scored the winner in extra time to seal a 3-2 win to earn a 3rd round tie against Chelsea which bolton went on to lose. The record since then has not been good. Bolton have gone out in the first round in the last 2 years, first to Burton at the macron and last year at Blackpool. The competition again is low on phil parkinsons list of priorities as the fight for league points takes priority. Team news. Anyones guess. What we know is vela, wheater and Ameobi are out injured and turner, hall, king and perry cannot play as an appearance on the pitch or or the Bench will count them as part of the 23. Likely starts for Alnwick, Little, Burke, Robinson, Pratley, Morais, Buckley, Wilbraham and armstong. Maybe the lesser spotted derik or Chris taylor too. Some 3rd year scholars who do not count as part of the 23 will make up the numbers.

Alnwick made some good saves tonight looks far better than Howard, but it's PP call.

Did we learn anything except we somehow won and PP gets to experiment in another game in this cup.

Stand out has to be Derik with hope Morais's cross is a sign of thing to come and the all incl thread finished 6 short of the big 500.

Oh and just in case the cup luck continues into the New Year

The Wendy's,that's going to be a half decent crowd with a chance to go on in the competition, but will have to be a first team eleven to have any chance of a result Ken will be rubbing his hands together,

Have you seen how the money is divided and paid out to the visiting clubs and the pot and the home side have to pay out within 10 days we best not forget. Our Crewe winnings might cover the tea club milk bill for this week.

Is it coincidence the ties are to be played the same week as another court appearance or is it strange forces at work ( อกโ—‰ อœ> อกโ—‰) ใ€€

Quiet
Ken's not spoken yet I guess he must be busy gathering all the investors together to let them know his big empire plans.
Derik you think will get a game considering the virus and injuries but why is PP following him around and sneezing all over him.
