Reject any offers until the window shuts...

LFC don't need to do anything, apparently it was a done deal at £109m and a BT sport journo was offered TV rights for Coutinho's unveiling on friday...

That was all rubbish then I take it? The press are just making things up as they go along to get clicks and sell papers (and it's working).

Remember when Suarez had a 40m release clause and publicly stated he wanted to leave? Bids over 40m were rejected, the player apologised and had the best individual season any player has ever had in the premier league (at least statistically).......Liverpool will sell if and when it suits them.

And no he's not as good as Suarez. Not even close.

But it comes back to the fast moving market. £75m for Suarez looked fair a few years ago. Now it seems like a bargain. The markets moved. Lukaku cost the same for goodness sake.

Rather dabbing pencil cases than slippy Steve bananas.

28 years this time boys. Tick tock.

They value him at less than half of Neymar.

No chance should they let him go at this stage for any less than 150m.

If Coutinho is the difference between getting top 4/challenging for the title and not then he is definitely worth 100m+

Hahaha.

I'll take that as debate lost then. Have a fun day Eric.

Taking your bias away for a second.....do you honestly think he's a £100m player?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eric

What does what I, or any other Liverpool fans, opinion on his worth have to do with it?

It's the club that accept/reject offers received. It's Barca that put in bids.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

True...and Barca have a lot of it.

They will get him though. Inevitable. You could risk turning him against you if you stop a move like that. Not every year Barcelona come in for you.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where did I say I don't think they'll get him?

You're all over the place with this Eric. Coutinho has said publicly he wants to play for Barca but respects Liverpool's position. It's most likely to be a similar situation to the Suarez one where, funnily enough, it is every year Barca come in for you.

I remember when Liverpool fans said Fernando Torres wasn't for sale. Everyone has their price.

Torres put in a transfer request though.

Nowhere near your 44 year drought

To sell Couts, two days before kick off, no matter who he plays for, would be utter madness. Were he a United player I would be saying exactly the same.

The English PL dominates, not because of the skill of players, but because of the cash it attracts. The days of the big clubs dictating what's going to happen, transfer-wise, are at an end. Look no further than us with Soton over VvD.

They could actually afford, in money terms, to have him sit on his Harris for the whole season. That's life today in the PL.

Couts behaviour since this whole circus exploded onto the scene has been describes as 'impeccable' by club sources; the same for his agent.

There nothing to stop another club speaking to a player's agent. There's nothing to stop him/her listening to their suggestions, that's life.

But the circus rolls on. Who will take the Spanish Press to task? Who at Barca, if anyone, has been briefing them? What answer to the charge of making it up as they go along will they give?

Don't hold yer breath.

World class dribbler, passer, awesome in tight spaces and dangerous anywhere in the opponents half, brilliant in transition, fantastic pressing/tackling ability for an attacking player......great end product and in big games to boot.

Consistently outshines the likes of Aguero, Sanchez, Hazard, Kane when we play against their teams. Has the innate ability to run their midfields ragged....which he does often.

If you don't think he's absolutely brilliant then you haven't been watching Liverpool much.....
