Spurs..too big too soon?

I have had banter with the spurs lot but its only that, a bit of rival banter.

Looking at spurs from a rival perspective its seems a shame that 2 of their biggest assets Kyle W and D Rose are disaffected with the wages at Spurs, Walker has gone and Rose looks likely to follow.

It seems that Spurs have grown faster than their club finances, in comparison the other top 4 rivals Spurs are struggling to hold onto players due to wages. It is a shame if the likes of Alli and Kane decide that they are worth £150-200K P/W and look to leave, its always good to see a competitive league and the more teams fighting for top 4 makes the league more interesting imo.

Hopefully spurs can sort out the wages issue and build, be good to see footballing sides compete at the top. Rather have spurs than the awful hoof Utd play, plus i really dislike Moanreen and his utter Cr@p he spouts at every press conf...hope the top sides absolutely batter his team

They don't have a big fan base. That's the problem.

Levy should have expanded their fan base first before start expanding the stadium.

Predictions for the league table this year GB?

leaving aside the lfc spurs wummery that goes on on this site... which i'm not interested in.

....

Spurs have built consistently over time to where they have and have made few bad errors in the past little while. Once the manager got sorted and the bale money debacle passed they have gotten their feet under themselves and have got in really good buys

Spurs have a very good first 11. Kane, eriksen and alli cost <20mil... that bascially sets them up for success. The CBs cost half nothing as well. Wanyama was a steal....

and so on....

I don't know that spurs have grown past their finances but certainly comments that they do not have the global fanbase of other clubs and certainly their current wage structure does not reflect the new money following about the prem

spurs wages will have to rise rapidly to keep players on... the three mentioned above are top players on contracts that are not half what they could get down the road.

the stadium build is a postive outcome from this crazy period of money for them imo... but its a risk if its is an either or scenario.

Walker and now rose are making open comments about moving. Its not a great scenario when you are 2nd and should be looking to a title challenge.

Spurs need to win something imo.

Basically you saying, big club spurs don't have enough money to pay big wages or competitive wages?

Then you are neither big nor have enough fan base to make it big.

dnt see why spurs cant pay the wages, they get the same tv money as other clubs and must have a big sponsorship deal, levy is just a tightwad, the sissoko signing last year was him for the 1st time bowing to pressure to pay big money for a player and look what happened, spurs can afford the wages they just don't want too

Was walker any better than Trippier?

Do they have another option to replace the injured Rose IF he goes.?

Bale left, Modric left......Spurs continued to build and improve.

Table this year?

City and Lfc for the top 2;
Utd and cfc for 3rd & 4th
arsenal..spurs..for 5th etc

utd will bore their way up the table but those tactics wont beat lfc or city forward line. spurs losing players..arsenal still arsenal and cfc losung their top players.

Too good, too soon.

Not being big enough is the problem...
