Forest close to signing Adam Federici

From Nixon: Forest. Federici. Happening. Low fee. Chance to get to World Cup for him.

“It also sounds like Forest are very keen on Adam Federici, the Bournemouth keeper who has found his chances a bit limited in the Premier League but was very well established during his time at Reading.

“We are very close with one and there may be one more after that. We will see," said Warburton.

Good signing if true, if he can command the box i think our defence will improve. Harsh on smith but having two compete for the shirt will improve smith in the long run imo and gives him someone to learn from.

Also Toby Edser has extended his contract with us for another two-years. A good one for the future👍✅

He the one that had a blinder in the FA Cup semi for Reading before chucking one in right at the end

Felt for him that day, never has a keeper been less deserving of a howler.

Was decent for Reading. Worth a punt if the price is right. Could bring the best out of Smith, Evtimov and Henderson as well. Likely one of the three may have to go out on loan to get some game time though.

Hendo has already appeared for the under 23s three times on the road to recovery so where I'm sitting seems like a waste.
If he can communicate well with defenders on top of good performances and they can work as a unit then by all means sign him.
To be fair most of MWs signings have already shown
they have what it takes in a competitive match situation so he obviously knows better.
If this is his way of addressing our defensive frailties then who am I to judge.
I still think some defensive bite in midfield is a priority but now thinking about it I don't think that would help much if the opposition keeps hoofing it over like Milwall

Would also like to see a few moves out. There are a few sat at the training ground who are blatently surplus to requirements, such as Vlad. They'll start to become a pain in the neck for MW if he can't move them on this window. Problem is, Al Hasawi would have given them overly generous contracts so they have no motivation to move on.

Vlads has apparently joined partisan fc on season long loan.

If it's true then that would probably mean stokjovic wages were a stumbling block that we just couldn't get over.

He's only got a year left contract wise so the loan atleast eats up the rest of his contract while mitigating some of the cost.
