Creativity wasn't there today and was very slow, ponderous performance.
Weildwald - 5 his goalkeeping was fine, his distribution worries me. He's comfortable with the ball but playing lofted passes out to our left back so he's challenged in the air is not okay in this league. Put us under needless pressure.
Ayling 7 classic solid game we've come to expect from him.
Jansson 7 not his best performance but solid enough.
Cooper 8 thought he was very good. Didn't put a foot wrong in my view.
CBJ 7 really like him and has a good cross
Phillips 2 just utter rubbish.
Okane 6 okay, looks better than last season
Roofe 5 didn't get in the game at all
Hernandez 6 he was always looking for the ball but just a bit over elaborate today.
Alioski 5 not sold on him at all...some great footwork at times but didn't get on the outside and not particularly fast
Wood 5 had a great chance to score
Subs
Saiz 6 good player
Vieira 6 needs to start on Tuesday
Dallas n/a didn't really get this sub at all, ruined out natural width with a right footed

I think we're too light weight, all our players are small, not that that's a bad thing, but Derby were on the other night and they're all big fookers. We'll get out fought a lot this season

Totally agree with Wakey, these 4 year deals to some of these players could cause big problems. If they are not good enough they can merely pick up the wages and hardly ever feature. Moving them on will be mega difficult.

A little bit of a reality check for us yesterday.Lots of improvements in many areas needed but still quite a few positives.
Fulham will be a huge test and we'll really need to raise our game particularly in midfield. I would like to see Anita start in midfield along with Saiz and get him closer to Wood. If we are not on it these lot will pass us off the park. Am sure TC is aware of this but we could start by not playing same midfield as last season.
