A few years back things suddenly clicked for McCormack at Leeds.
Whilst I felt Cellino cashed on I also felt that Ross wa itching to play at higher level.... nothing wrong with that.
A couple of transfers and a loan later and Ross is a forgotten man at his club and it looks like it's not worked out the way he'd hoped.
I feel Leeds are a much better proposition now, a much less toxic place to be with more chance of realising potential, hope Wood can see that.
A cautionary tale for Chris Wood

We have given time to Chris to settle too, same as we did with McCormack. McCormack had a terrible first season and Wood had an okay year but was a way from being a top striker at this level.
If he moves on for big money, that club and fans will expect a top player who instantly settles, same as Ross. He's better staying at Leeds for now, and if we are not promoted this season he can get a better transfer than to Burnley.

If Burnley or anyone else are going to increase his salary significantly then you can't argue that he'd be better off staying, that's for him to decide.
He didn't look great on Saturday so maybe his head's already turned.

There's so many new posters on this forum I can't keep up! Seems to know you well though Jonty!

I honestly feel Ross is having some mental health issues. It was never his choice to leave Leeds, and I'm not sure if staying would have changed anything.
I don't think it's a fair analogy. But that's based on my opinion of his mental health, rather than fact, so who knows.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't see Cook, Taylor, or Byram playing this weekend. Wood has already been in the Prem with Leicester and chose to leave for regular games. Hopefully he'll not be tempted by just money as he's now the Capt of NZ and if not playing regular games that could change.

Its been said that Wood wasn't playing his game against Preston, that wouldn't be because of Lasogga being at the game, maybe there is something happening and Woods got other things on his mind!..

Yes I'm sure one of the many world class players New Zealand have will be given the captancy ahead of him if he leaves the club and has to sit on the bench a bit...

If you have translate it might help just a little!.
But it says Lassogga was in Leeds at the weekend having talks, it seems now its between Hamburg and Leeds as to who pays what for his wages,(Leeds are not willing to dig to deep into their pockets as far as his wages go!)something tells me with the option to buy we're waiting for the Premiership to complete the deal!..
That or Wood goes and than we'll have enough to pay his wages!.
If we got him for 2mil it would be a bargain!..

Same goes for James Hanson - Sheff U trying to palm him off to Mansfield. Would be a cost effective under study to CW me thinks.
