My thoughts...

On yesterdays game.

We played a very conservative Newcastle side who looked to target Dele and came off the better side.

Games at the start of the season are all about points, not performance. All teams will go through different blips of good and bad form throughout the season; the key is to pick up points when you are not playing at your best. Last year we were arguably the best 'performers' throughout the season, but Chelsea were the ultimate winners.

We weren't really tested at the back, and bar two instances never looked particularly threatened but that is what you need at the start of the season. The midfield and attack really struggled to click and we only started to play reasonable football around five minutes before Shelvey got himself sent off.

Eriksen, KWP and Dembele were the real standouts, with Kane's finishing and Dier's inability to get involved in the game being the only particularly worrying moments.

We will really need to step up next week against a wounded, yet still vicious Chelsea side. Yet a respectable win will squash any doubts whether or not we can play at Wembley.

523 for me next week, with Sissoko playing the RWB assuming Trippier isn't fit. This is the perfect chance for us to face them.

I would probably agree with that although I would be a little worried KWP will be targeted by Chelsea.

They have Alonso who is very tall and I can see them using him on the diagonal pass all the time as KWP does seem very small.

Good point about Alonso's height advantage. I just don't trust Sissoko whatsoever. I have more faith in the 20 year old kid

Think we'll have 3 at the back vs Chelsea. I reckon the wide open spaces of Wembley put fear in us. 3 plugs the gaps and Wanyama shields the defence too.

This is why i think we're going big for Sanches at Ajax. real quality player to make up a back 3. Dier to job share as RB and DM.

Dier to job share at RCB and DM you mean? Dier at RB isn't an option imo

RCB in a 3 is Dier best position

Well if we dont replace walker then Trips, KWP & Dier cover that position, but yeah, Dier to cover RCB too. Proper utility man!

I thought y'all did well on Sunday against a very compact, defensive side. Sure, it took a while to break them down but you did eventually. Think y'all should be fine against Chelsea. I don't think this Wembley thing is a crippling factor like what most other fans are saying.

I'm picking a win for y'all this weekend. Harry Kane needs to net in some goals for my fantasy PL team's purpose.

Spurs need to get stuck in this week-end against Chelsea. Chelsea are a bunch of undisciplined cry-babies who try to intimidate the referees, and they got what they deserved this past week-end!.

Will be interested to see if Harry Kane shows up for this game. Against this Chelsea defense he should be able to bag a couples of goals!

It's 523 as Edin stated. Wing backs are classed as defenders.

Massive game on Sunday, not often that we'll be strong favourites to beat the reigning champions, reminds me a bit of 2 seasons ago when they went to Chelsea after their poor result at home to Swansea. City dealt with them with ease that day and we've got to believe we can get the win against a depleted Chelsea side. Great opportunity early on to strike a blow against them.

Not too sure about Walker-Peters at RWB. Although it seems a minor adjustment, the reality is that it's quite a different position to RB so to ask an inexperienced player to play in a role he's not familiar with...

Against Chelsea someone has to be assigned to deal with Willian.
Also think we might play a back 4 at Wumberly.
As for the Newcastle game ...... we're lucky Dele is still standing up.
