Short term Conte?

There at it again, the ever reliable media are suggesting that Contes tenure at Cfc will not continue longer than two more seasons, irrespective of success.

As much as i prefer to take what is printed and aired by the media with a pinch of salt, it does in some way explain the contract upgrade , which was not extended .

What do you reckon?

and going back to the Robbie sacking you still to this day believe i was led by the "gutter press?" That i formed my opinion because it was their opinion?

If so you may as well say

"Yes we know Roman has sacked every Manager except Jose and Guus, since he bought the club, but it's not past experience influencing your beliefs, you're allowing the press to tell you how to think".

Flash i think we can only address this once the window is closed.

A question do you think the financing of the up and coming stadium is relevant in the clubs decisions regarding finance and FFP.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
that is an excellent point, but you seriously run the risk of falling behind in that scenario. We do know when the window closes, but we also know when the season begins.

Flash , the problem is very simple and i have not at all ignored it in the numerous articles and posts over the summer.

The club are working to a financial plan, it comes first, after this the manager and footballing side must work within it.

This summers spending has proven to be highly over rated and some what unexpected Neymar 200m , and so on.

The club are doing there utmost to maintain a financial balance that has taken years to establish and don't want it fckd in 5 minutes .

I have posted why i believe its unreasonable to expect us to be able to compete with ,

PSG, & City, these clubs are owned by very wealthy middle east countries , who have budgets far above any other privately owned football club .

Next Real , Barcelona & United are long time established super elite footballing clubs with fan bases and revenues to match.

Cfc are owned privately by a very wealthy person , but not on the same level as Real,Bareclona or United and a million miles away from PsG &City.

This is all understandable .

I think its a miracle we have an owner who has the appetite to compete with such competion, and we should be more understanding of where we are and where we've come from in general, ( i know you appreciate this )

i get that..........But you know for sure you're correct? Cos i don't know i'm correct. Only people in Roman's circle would know this.

But, i do believe (this market or not) to allow the squad to enter Saturday the way it did, add to that with as few games in pre-season as it did. was wrong, be that a failing of the board or Conte.

There looked to be something wrong internally on Saturday and that was my own observations, not the media telling me to think this way.

Iffy

You’re going back down the route of accusing people of not being able to think for themselves.

I will remind you that back in 2012. I posted an article after we lost in Turin. I said it was up to Roman as to whether or not Robbie would keep his job.
------------------------------------------------------
I think Roman wanted to replace Robbie with Rafa that summer, the only reason he didn't was because it would have ruined the great feeling Munich gave us within days.

Flash i think it about perception of how we feel the club should or is being run.

Personally i look at the reoccurring issues and come to the conclusion that they put the finances first and everything else comes next, even if that means a slow start that will have a knock on effect and properly mean we will struggle to successfully defend the title.

I cannot for one second commit to the theory that the club is out of control being run by a bunch of idiots who don't have a clue.

Finally the media stuff from 2012, that was then this is now.

I've never expected Conte to stay with us longer than 5 years max. Suspect he sees us the same way Mourinho saw Inter, and any feelings of discontent on his part could be a nagging fear that without better recruitment he's achieved all he can with us.

If we won the CL this season, I wouldn't be surprised to see him jump at the first opportunity to progress his career. Could be wrong, and wouldn't resent him if he did.
