infact in all competitions in his first stint drogba scored 157 in 341 games.

His career for all clubs 286 in 663.

A goal what every 2.5 games? Not bad at all over a whole career.

Internationals 65 in 104.

Not the most consistent but definitely not inconsistent. Add ontop the extraordinary cup final records and assists and he was a phenomenon

But anyhow, to label Drogba as inconsistent is a very lazy analysis. Whilst he is not an all-time great, he was a phenomenal striker.

Oh, and he didn't take penalties.

Let's all join in with this nonsense then, United fans will ignore the seasons SAF didn't win the league because he was young and naive or old and past it and claim he won 10 titles in 15 seasons or whatever while Kane will claim he won the golden boot in every season he's ever played

Drogba was far from consistent, even discounting his second stint.

He came to Chelsea in his prime and in his first season (04-05) he was rubbish. Not much better in his second, and in 07-08 he barely scored at all.

09-10 was his only great season.

Cup Final record was consistent though.
