Arsenal are dumb.

They under invest in the team for year, ingoring blatant weaknesses in the squad/team

Yet they let top players enter the last year of their contracts, costing the club potentially 10s of millions of pounds on lost transfer fees. If Ozil, Ox and Sanchez all leave next summer for for thats a possible £150m lost out on.

So on the one hand they're a bit tight in the transfer market and on the other they are negligent in failing to tie down their players to contracts which costs them a fortune.

Raymond when did Chelsea think that they were going to sign Sanchez and zero Arsenal fans thought that Cech would sign for Arsenal from Chelsea but he did sign for Arsenal due to his good relationship with Chelsea.Its not that odd if Ox does sign for Chelsea though Chelsea board did let Conte and team down by selling Matic to Man U.

Matic didn't leave for a pay cheque he left because he wanted to work under Mourinho who initially brought him to Chelsea and even William wanted to play under Jose at Man U.So its about the manager and player relationship!Also it was a stupid decision of Chelsea hierarchy to sell Matic to Man U despite Conte not wanting to lose him to Man U.
