In relation to what? If Neymar is £200m, Lukaku £90m, VVD £70m etc. then how do you determine worth?

Worth is subjective, it's simply what the selling club require and what the buying club are prepared to pay. Surely we know by now that worth is not measurable when it comes to football transfers?

For me he's worth more than that, considering it will derail our whole season as we don't have a replacement, have a short time to find one, our only other option to fill his role in the squad is injured for months and he still hasn't realised his full potential. He was on course to be the best player in the league last season, he was absolutely outstanding and then injury hit. So yeah, to us he's worth more than £118m.

Since selling Payet you've went from many people's, including myself tips to put a challenge in on top four to bottom half. Was the £30m you banked worth that?

Payet was part of the reason we were on our way down. Once we got rid of him the team picked themselves up. Hardly challenging top 4 were we? He downed tools all season

Anyone else look at that figure twice?

Usually I'm like 'no deal' before reading the details but I have to say I hesitated this time.

Must be hard for FSG to turn this down and if they reach say, 150m then he will definitely be off.

I think I'd take that amount of money and get plans for the new stand going immediately. We still have money to spend even without the sale of Coutinho so Courts could fund us a new stand

If we can get this crazy amount it won't be so bad so long as we can get VVD in.

But for the record I'm still saying no deal and hope Cout stays.
