Bridcutt to Forest

So the local press in Nottingham are linking Forest with a move for out of favour Bridcutt.

He was the Leeds captain for much of last year so what's happened? Is it simply a case of the new manager preferring his new signings, or has Bridcutt faded ?

Leeds comments welcome

You are after Gestede to replace your big bloke.
Hoof it up, see what happens.
It's what Leed do.

I don't mind Bridcutt, but I'm not really sure what you're expecting of him. I think you may be disappointed.

Didn't even play hoofball with Wood....would be weird to buy quality attacking mids and then change the style to hoofball when we're unbeaten and not conceded in 3 games.

Talking to a Brighton fan today. Rated Bridcutt highly, although it was a few years back. He's top of the fantasy football league, so he's obviously clued up.

Great signing if it happens and a decent replacement for Vaughan. A great transfer window so far.

It is a decent signing for us as short on defensive cm and he has experience at the level and at 1m it's a good all round deal.

Rangers fans told us McKay was weak, everyone told us Murphy was too old and no-one had heard of Dowell so let's just see how the lad fairs

Yep, you rarely get honesty from the selling clubs fans. With a possible debut instantly re-matching him against Leeds, he could get off to a flier.

Official.

A left back and goalie is all that's left on the shopping list I think.

Pretty much a whole new squad

Thanks,

Complaints than other than 'he's sh!te', seems he's just not attacking enough, either for the fans or the system you play, and he's too expensive to have on the bench.

Sounds exactly like what we need. Vaughan never passes forward but marshals the space in front of the back four and puts a tackle in. We've got other players to attack or be playmakers, but need that player that 'sits deeper than the titanic', and break up play.

Not sure about what he's getting paid but we've already broken deals off when players were asking for too much.

All parties win the way I see it

Yep, there plenty of forward thinking players in this current Forest side. Need that midfielder that breaks up play around 25-30 yards from goal stopping players running at a retreating defence. If you look at the goals Forest have conceded, other than from hanging crosses, this is the area the team is most vulnerable. .

Won't expect Bridcutt to make much of any impression in the opposition half. It is all about getting horses for courses in this league. Leeds manager thinks he has better in that position. We will see who is more satisfied next May, I guess.
