I remember it well Chelsea were playing Palace away and the noise was deafening. Not from the singing mind, but from the gun fire like clatter of the wooden seats in the stand springing upwards and banging into their limiter hinges.
Zola was on the ball and in some space, the expectation and dare I say certainty that something special was about to happen was all encompassing.
Zola was the very definition of a 'bums off seat player'.
There have been others, there are some playing today, but who in your opinion were/are they?
Which players affected/affect you in the same way as Zola affected me.

There are a few that I've had the pleasure of watching over the years and as a regular at Old Trafford, it's fair that to say I've been spoiled, is an understatement
Andrei Kanchelskis
Eric Cantona
Karel Poborsky
Ryan Giggs
Cristiano Ronaldo
...to name but a few - and you could argue that there are plenty more just from the United teams over the years.
But looking outside of our own, there's a few great names that we've had the pleasure (or torment) of having seen grace our pitches and tv screens over the years, and played beautiful and at times mesmerizing football, often at our expense:
Begkamp
Henry
McManaman
Pires
Robben
Ginola
Juninho
Kinkladze (sp?)
Di Canio!!
Gascoigne
and let's not forget LeTissier
and those are just the ones I remember off the top of my head

We don't get that at City anymore as Pep encourages his players to walk the ball into the net.

Yaya running at full pelt "in the past" was a sight to behold, at his best totaly unplayable.
Watching David Silva has been a privilege and a pleasure a total pleasure, so balanced and skilful who should admittedly score more goals but watching him pull the strings and make himself the fulcrum of the team was worth the ticket price alone.

Yep, I was thinking of Yaya 3 years ago.

Working against the arrow of time, i'd say:
Zola
Le Tissier
Brady
(Frank) Worthington
Best
football started, for me at least, 25 years before the epl

Web we had more than our fair share of bums on seats players.
Sane definitely out of recent signings.
