Just doing an event in Manchester, no trains either (bus replacement), so it was an early start yesterday, 6am.
Managed to nip to a pub in Manchester for 40mins for dinner; and must say I timed it perfect.
Saw 3 goals and some perfect football. And loved Martial's reaction after scoring
Not sure how the first half went.
When I nipped out from the hotel, a copper was stood in the middle of a main road, where my hotel was, Premier Inn Deansgate, flagging cars down, some going high speed.
And up the side of the hotel they were searching cars. Fair play I thought, wondering if this is a regular thing?
But then this morning walking back to work, a taxi driver asked me if there was trouble at Oxford Rd; and told me police were "Swarming all over". I had a mini-suitcase so he thought I'd come from there.
Can't see anything on google?
We've played perfectly so far.....

We saw some perfect football from the 79th minute onwards. Before that we looked a bit flat and out of ideas how to break down a defensive set up. Our only goal coming from a set piece before the last 10 minutes.
Great signs and very promising start to season but we do need to add more width to our play. Better teams will find it easier to stop us.

Better teams won't have 10 men behind the ball for large parts of the game

and that is one way to break down a defensive setup. You say that like a set piece is a lesser way to score!

We've got great results against 2 sh/t teams, West Ham missing half their team. It's far to early to say anything st this stage.

A you've got the mighty foxes next week, but we too are blighted by injuries. After yesterday the list of crocks is now Vardy, Iheanacho, Drinkwater, Iborra, Huth and Mendy. Just hope Mahrez doesn't depart before Saturday...

I bailed as soon as the event finished, as I had a hotel to book the first night and today I jumped in the nearest boozer with football for the second half of Tottenham Chelsea - never got involved in the drinks/food after.
