Apparently Copenhagen are wanting him. We're willing to sell and he wants to move according to reports, but the price is the sticking point.
Copenhagen only offering €3m.
He's decent enough back up at domestic level but Bitton has probably just edged ahead of him as back up CB. He also gets caught ball watching, gives niggly daft free kicks away and isn't much use in the air.
That said, he gives the team everything, and can be good in the tackle when not giving his daft fouls away. He's quite strong too, if a little slow.
I'd sell him tbh but would hold out for about £3-3.5m. If he stays, I still feel we need another better CB regardless as backup.

Players have poor spells of form, if a good offer came in of around £4-5m i'd be happy for us to sell, but otherwise he may come back into form and look like he did at his best.

I think he looked better than he is when he joined because our defensive options then weren't exactly stellar.. O'Connell, Mulgrew, Ambrose etc.
He looked far better than them but now that we have better defenders he looks poor compared to them.

I'm torn
He was being touted as captain not long ago. I get what Ginger is saying in that he hasn't improved however is that a fitness thing?

He's decent enough. If we can get better, then we should and let him move on. He's done well enough.

If we got 2-3m offer I'd sell. His form has been poor for a while and he dithers on the ball. I don't think his height is an issue though.
But we can't sell unless there is a replacement brought in

A year ago were all have happily got rid of Boyata. Not now.
Whether Erik goes or stays, I'm not too bothered. Brendan will decide.
