Kompany recalls dressing room surprise
We kick off the first Media Watch of the week with thoughts and opinion from City duo, Vincent Kompany and Fernandinho.
Quotes from both players feature in this morning’s papers, with the Blues’ skipper recalling what life was like upon his arrival in Manchester, while the Brazilian shares his thoughts on the Club’s chances of success.
The Manchester Evening News carry Kompany’s quotes as he reveals how the loud City dressing room that greeted his arrival in 2008 took some getting used to.
“It was loud," he said.
“You couldn’t imagine anything more opposite to what I was used to in Germany.
“You would have to be quiet there and focused on the game. Even reading a book, which I thought was sensible, would be too much for the manager.
“Then I came to City and the place was bouncing. People playing pranks.
“Robinho and the kit man would be taking the mickey out of each other.
“Robinho and Elano would be doing keepy-ups with rolled up socks, making the rest of us feel like amateurs."
Next, to thoughts on our quest for trophies this season, which Fernandinho has shared with the Daily Star.
Jeremy Cross has the story, in which the midfielder says: “There’s always pressure here to win something.
“Since I came four years ago, the pressure is there. You always have to win and this year isn’t going to be different.
“It would be perfect if we can win all the trophies. We will see what happens. The most important thing is to be consistent during the whole season and at the end, try to be fighting for the title."
That’s it for this morning’s media roundup, but we’ll be back tomorrow with more of the same.

Seek a dictionary.
Look up irony then look up hypocrisy, two different words that you clearly don't know the meaning of.
Glad I could help, let's face it you weren't getting there on your own.
But like you and a West Ham match 😂
