Good comment! This rule is more and more frequently broken, not to mention the 5-10 yards that are often stolen on each throw in.

Ever notice where some players place the ball for corner kicks? FA must instruct game officials on enforcing basic rules of game, or perhaps they don't have the backbone to do it?

This rule is subject to the alignment of the planets in relationship to the earth's curvature, and will vary from the time the game begins and will continually change as the game progresses. There are exceptions whenever a solar eclipse occurs. In times such as these the person taking the kick can request that the referee permit a penalty be taken in lieu of the corner. However, it is highly unfair to expect officials who have trouble raising a flag for off-sides to comprehend this intricate rule, especially at night games when the Sun is no longer visible.

I expect the FA to address this issue soon!

Hypocrite

Guardiola is clueless. Only 52 points out of 54 is a sackable offence.

Most of those wins have come through luck though - set pieces that shouldn’t have been given, deflecting, handballs, late goals after the whistle should have blown.
