Roofe

It's a strange one. Has been poor until Sunderland, when I thought he played very well up top on own, and again tonight, he scores

Yet I still don't see him playing up front for us regular.

Nice problem to have

Is Saiz the best player weve had since being out the prem?

one of defo... I'm still bumming Beckford though to be fair

Agree with TC. Big Roofe fan but it's not been fruitful as it could have been, especially goal wise. Hoping this is his season and I think it will be.

Saiz, Imo could go into the Snodgrass, Gradel bracket. He could be the best we've had since the prem.

How we landed him being in this division is beyond me, some seriously good work done behind the scenes. Sort of signing that sets you apart from the rest.

Could score 20 goals

Agree with Harrogate. Saiz is a much better player than Snoddy or Gradel. Loved Snoddy - an intelligent footballer - but he was as slow as an old nag and didn't bother working too hard; Gradel's immaturity at the time outweighed his pace and trickery, although I loved him too.

Saiz, however, seems to have something really special. That goal against Sunderland was really well taken - no backlift at all hardly - and he really has something good working out with Alioski. At last, we have 'creative midfielders!' - haven't seen many of them in a LUFC shirt in recent years. Reckon we'll be very lucky to hang onto Saiz through to next season, even if we do bag a promotion spot this year.

As they say as long as he can do it on a winter Tuesday night at Stoke I will be happy, he certainly can play, but don't get too attached as if he improves like we think he will and we don't go up he won't be here next year,

Unfortunately last night sums up Roofe for me in a nutshell.

Scored a hatfull against lower league teams before his move to LUFC, moved up to the Championship and has never quite looked the part, flattering to deceive too many times. Then bags a hatrick against a lower league team.

I think thats probably his level, will have the odd good game but not consistantly. Hope I'm proved wrong this season because I really want the kid to do well, but just cant see it at this standard.

I remember way back one month ago, Saiz was
on the brink of signing. But, all the buzz was around
whether we'd get Alioski. They're both proving to be
astute signings. But, Saiz is an absolute gem. Would
not trade him for anyone (within reason).

Burnley can ****right off of they think theyre getting Saiz.

Maybe we are over reacting to Saiz. He looks like a player, but he's been here weeks.

Until he bags 20+ goals in a season, Gradel is the best player we've had since the prem by a mile.
