With a lack of transfers to keep me occupied between games, I'm already thinking about the game with Everton at the weekend. With Cahill still out, who would we like to see start Christiansen or rudiger ? Seems a no brainer for me, Christiansen needs to start and continue to build on his displays and hopefully give the manager something serious to think about when Cahills back from suspension. That being said unless Bakayoko has had a good week in training it wouldn't bother me seeing Luiz stay in midfield with kante and them both start at the back. I know fabregas is back but I don't think Everton is the sort of match he would thrive in with gueye snapping at his heels all game. Much rather he come off the bench late on. Lastly can Morata improve on his display last week and actually threaten their goal this week ? with improving fitness and not facing the league's best back 3 iv got a feeling he's going to score

Very confident he'll find his feet quickly leading the line bringing others into play once fully fit and continue to score.
Won't be up against a strong Spurs back three every week and to be honest fared ok, liked the look of him winning headers and outpacing Toby that one time despite only being 60% (match) fit.

It will be a very, very tough game. Everton will be smarting after the same fixture last season and will smell blood.
I think we can do it but we are going to have to have similar level's of concentration to the Spurs game i can see a very dodgy 1-0 or 2-1.

I don't want to speak for ps, but I don't think picking Rudiger suggests he doesn't rate Christensen. Rudiger played left centre back against Spurs in place of Cahill, and I don't think there's any need to change that.
Christensen played centrally in place of Luiz - and I can't see Luiz continuing in midfield once Bakayoko is fit enough to play in a central 2. Christensen is an excellent player, clearly - but I suspect he is still understudy to Luiz.
I agree with ps - I think that will be our team.

Christensen is the one of the very few that can play across the backline (back three).
No-one is going to tell me said player can't defend channels better than Rudiger or Cahill, add into the equation Christensen being a superb 1 on 1 defender. No brainer.
That's my stance.

If you want to talk about calm ball-playing ability from side CB positions, then Christensen is comfortably ahead of the rest.
As in Morata's case, playing at limited capacity.
