About this time last year, I wrote a piece on here bemoaning Monk's lack of media skills after his appalling post match conference following the home defeat to Huddersfield...
Having watched TC's interviews, I can't believe how much like chalk and cheese the two are. Monk was agitated, naive, dull and cliched. TC is charismatic, coy, honest, controlled, firm but fair. It is a welcome change.
But it's not the only change that makes me feel things are chalk and cheese since a year ago. The gesture made to the fans re: Wood shirts is a great example of how we've started to turn things around. I am so proud to be a Leeds fan right now and haven't felt this excited in years. Literally years...
What's the biggest 'chalk and cheese' thing you've noticed, seen or felt since this time last year???
Chalk and cheese...

I agree with the thread
But if we've a miles better manager and a miles better squad with miles better working conditions
Anything other than top six is a MASSIVE Failure

In defence of Monk, no wonder he was agitated because it seemed like he was going to be sacked after that Hudd game.
Which all comes down to the club owner - a less poisonous atmosphere for the manager and players to work in.
And JLA - he has, I saw a picture of him lighting up a cig in his presentation

Pretty sure the club feels exactly the same. AR said it.

Its as simple as so many shouting sort the club out and Premier league football and a young kid coming in and showing the old dogs how it should be done!..
Mind you, the old dogs laid so many minefields when they were here I think they were to scared to sneeze in the fear off blowing their powder of the table!..
Here's hoping they're still happy with their crack pipes!..
I wonder if they're keeping an eye on everything Leeds United and thinking off what should have been!..

Well I think a lot of the summing & infighting has taken a back seat...

I like the general openness e.g. I liked that TC admits things like he wanted bridcutt to stay. Radz has handled his press releases with good judgement. I like the fact that we're prepared to invest in both infrastructure and the squad. But most of all I like the fact that the team is showing promise... as we wouldn't give a hoot about all this nice communication stuff if we'd had a series of drubbings!

By far the biggest "chalk & cheese" factor to me is that this season we hear rumours about us going for particular players, then we actually get them!
Too many times in the past I've got a bit excited about the prospect of a player coming in, only for my hopes to be dashed when someone else pips us to the signing.

To me the difference is both the coach and the players seem very content with each other creating and air of confidence togetherness which is essential to create a winning team
Lets make no bones about this we have spent only £13m on our recruits and sold for 17m so a net gain of £4m Wolves and Boro have spent over £30m!
So we have to do really well to cut that big gap
