CB area

A lot has been made (rightfully) of positions on the pitch we have left ourselves short in numbers on but the one position we have got right this summer is centre half.

Last season one of the three not playing or being moved to wing back in Azpi's case led to chaos. Terry was just not very good anymore (love him but he fell badly off a cliff since his last hurrah in the 2015 title) and Zouma just isn't suited to a system looking to play out of the back. I remember a situation in Everton vs Stoke that summed up everything with Kurt, he made a interception that looked impossible to make then he tried playing the ball out of the back, miscontrolled the ball, lost it Everton nearly scored. Zouma's a potentially great defender but look at the way the truly elite teams play, to even get close to them you need ball playing defenders and anyone who doesn't think so is a dinosaur.

This year however it's a different matter. Rudiger and Andreas fit our system like a glove and at young ages have massive scope to improve, positive times in that area,
