I wouldn't be so sure, the old rule was that if they had 10 or more international appearances they would have a good chance of getting one. Since then the rules have tightened up plus Sanchez only has 2 international appearances.

He should be okay for a permit his Columbian and worked in holland so should be okay for the uk.

Exactly working in Holland for over a year, plus the amount of tax he will pay - there is zero to no chance his permit will be refused. I know these things.
