If you could clone any one player...

...from any point throughout your club's history and place a prime version of that player in your current team who would it be?

Doesn't necessarily have to the best player you've had, doesn't have to be the best performing player you've ever had, just has to be the one player who physically, mentally, emotionally and tactically, your team could do with more than anyone else and who's presence, you believe, would likely make the most difference to your current club's output.

To start off bastardizaing my own thread immediately, I'm struggling to choose between one of two; Tony Adams and or Patrick Vieira.

Insert either of those two into the current set up and I think this Arsenal team go from nappy wetting bottle jobs, to perhaps not champions, but certainly something approaching a genuine threat for the big ones.

It's long been said of Arsenal that we lack leaders, and we do. Whether that be a vocal leader like Adams or an example setter like Vieira, this Arsenal side has little in the way of heart; either one of these men would be the CPR this side needs to start being taken seriously by both themselves and others.

Wenger my allow standards to drop but neither of these two, at their peak would. Both in positions we're crying out for quality and for presence, I don't think there's another two players who, if you were to pluck them in their prime, would make as big a difference to our current fortunes.

At a push, I'll go with Vieira, because I think our need is greater in central midfield than it is in defence and with him protecting, you immmediately improve what's behind him as well as lessening the burden they're tasked with game after game because of weak tactics and weak players.
