Coutinho fit to play for Brazil !!!!

Would be interesting to read this thread if we had been dumped out by Hoffenheim, and lost 2 of our 3 league games.
Simply not having that the club put qualification for the champions league knowingly at risk, by playing along with a Coutinho being injured narrative, just to keep Coutinhos head down during this transfer window.
And I doubt even more, the people saying he can come back from the international break, and quietly be drafted back into the squad, would be so welcoming of his return if we were looking at a season without Champions League football.

Couts has handed in a transfer request but the club is showing total disregard for what the player wants
even though, Couts going to Barca would mean more chance of being successful and would make his dream of playing for Barca come true.

Liverpool playing the waiting game, to see the transfer window shut and not selling the player, are just going to cause more harm to the club than good

Why would selling our best player mean more chance of being successful? It hasn't exactly worked out well in the past and it continues to happen every few seasons. It has to stop.

Morespurs if you think that in the event of keeping Coutinho will harm LFC, then I invite you to think again. Time and again - Bale? - the two Spanish clubs have effectively flicked their fingers and clubs, knuckle to the forelock, caps doffed, have given in and let their talent go.

Times have changed. Clubs, and English PL clubs in particular, are effectively awash with money, money even to burn. They don't have to kowtow to the Spaniards any more.

If he comes back to us, and nothing is certain, I accept, it's going to be a very difficult time.

For Couts.

Look no further than how Sakho was dealt with, and that's was for just missing the bus and a meal!

Goofy, if - still a big if - he's still with us on Friday, there will be a lot of broken fences to mend, mostly by him. Irrespective of whether he is here for one more year or the remaining four, the bad blood, admittedly created by those who advise him needs to be mended, needs to be put away,

It's not a nice situation, wums will highlight any difference in treatment he gets when compared to what Sakho got, but it will be time to move on.
