Blind at corners is Giggsesque too. Either to the first defender on the near post or ballooned over the top out for a throw on the other side.

Yeah can we not get all 10 players practicing corners and choose the best taker?

Even if we lose a big guy in the box, better to have 6 in there with someone decent whipping it in, than 7 in there for no good reason.

We've got enough to compete with what we have, and Zlatan in Dec/Jan will be a huge boost.

Valencia still got the second most assists of any Premier League full back last season, didn't he? I think he's an outstanding asset. Helps us transition so quickly from defence to attack down that wing and can compete against the very best wingers when he's required to defend.

I agree that we are weak at left back, assuming Shaw remains perennially injured. Apart from that, I don't think we've done badly in the transfer window. It was good to see some of our rivals miss out on targets on deadline day. Incidentally, Chelsea spent over £180 million in this window so I'm not sure why Conte's so upset. The players they let go weren't going to be regular starters anyway.

For the short playing time he will get it's not good for his career.

A loan to a top Spanish team is far better than getting a few mins against burton Albion.

Agree with this.

If league cup and dead rubber CL games (maybe if we qualify with a game spare) are the only matches Periera will play in, then we should have tried to find him a PL club where he would've got regular game time, or failing that another Spanish side maybe a little higher up the league than his last.
