England women boss...

Mark Sampson has 'clear conscience' after Eniola Aluko claims.

I haven't seen any posts on this story since it broke and would be interested to know your thoughts as many of you gents expressed some good points over the Ched Evan case and I think this is an interesting topic for debate.

We all know that 'locker room talk' exists but there is a difference between lockeroom talk and singling someone out for ridicule whether it be based on race or not - this is a professional work enviroment and a top professional has been excluded from representing her country because she made a complaint about her boss.

Does this set a good example? The FA have hardly covered themselves in glory IMHO.

Strong allegations made by her. Considering the comments were alleged to have been made in the dressing rooms there must be people who were party to the incidents and can confirm what they heard and the tone and context of whatever was or wasn't said? It's all well and good questioning the accuser and the accused but that's one word against another. Would be easy to trace it back to when the incident took place and establish who was in that squad and go from there.

Have to say though that if I wouldn't be taking 80k 'hush money' to drop my complaint over something like this. At the same time the FA should be investigated for even suggesting it.

😂😂. If she's been excluded because of raising a legitimate complaint there will be legal recourse to turn to.

And if a male manager has done this then that says hi me he shouldn't be in a managerial position.

I think there was sort of 'settlent' with the FA which meant it couldn't go any further and she was supposed to keep her mouth shut about everything that happened, but it got dragged up again through no fault of her own (to my understanding).

Hmmm. Confidentiality agreements somehow never seem to stay confidential.

According to the above; other ladies have backed her claims. I haven't looked deeply into the case, so I wouldn't know if that's true, but I agree that some of these ladies would have been witness to the events and I imagine that all their statements were taken by the investigating body at the time.

The only problem is; who would be brave enough to put their career on the line to stand with her right now and potentially face exile?

You'd like to think that quite a few of them could at least stand together on this if it's true of course.

What then for the FA?

Not with the UK press sniffing about. They get hold of everything.

Very idealistic view but emotional human beings behave differently. I've seen it in the workplace, whole departments unhappy with their boss but nobody brave enough to rally together and complain to his boss.

Add in the scarcity of international tournaments, women's football being at the height of it's popularity right now, and footballer's careers shorter than most other professions, would you really be the first one to put yourself on the line for an international teammate against this FA? Not even a club teammate; international.

After all, justice always prevails doesn't it? No need to put myself on the line, I'm sure it'll work out for the best.

Leanne Sanderson who was another dropped player said she witnessed certain incidents yet was never asked to assist with the enquiry. Whitewash. You don't pay 80k to someone if nothing went on.
There was no confidentiality agreement as the fa said there was nothing untoward went on. Fishy.
