Bolton Wanderers v Middlesbrough

15 days have passed since that horror showing at hull. Since then uncle Ken has acquired deanos shares, a new signing in Craig noone and Joey O'Brien and Julio Baptista training with the club in the hope of earning a contract with the club. Thankfully back to matters on the pitch the first of a double header at the macron today with Sheffield united to follow on Tuesday. A lot has been made of this fixture, the haves and the haves not. Going to have to get used to that this season I'm afraid, it's still 11 v 11 on the pitch. Memories of past fixtures v Middlesbrough. The 2-1 defeat in the league cup final at Cardiff in 2004, the final day of the season in 2003 when a 2-1 win kept Bolton up and big Sam and jayjay did their jig on the pitch. Good memories. Team news. Josh Vela still a few weeks away from being fit. Ameobi close, wheater back, karacan and Cullen had knocks should be fit, Buckley likely out and noone should make his debut. What 11 or formation pp comes up with is anyones guess. Lets hope it defends better than it has so far this season.

Did someone say he's our best goalkeeper 😒

Never mind Uncle Ken will get us out of embargo. All he'll need to do then is find some money to buy decent players.

Sounds like a plan, SWIE! Let's just hope that in the intervening four months the current lot manage to accumulate enough points that we don't already need snooker to stay up by then. Remember to deduct 12 from any projected points total: well be lucky to get zero by the time the window opens.

Then it will just be a simple matter of convincing some decent players that joining Bolton is a good career move.

Who gave our pigs an ipad they woke me up laughing rolling about in the mud at the thought of both the embargo being lifted and us spending real hard cash.

On a positive, it looked like Gary Madine was willing to shoot and was unlucky not to score, the best I have seen him play ( having seen highlights only ) he looked confident in his own ability, and seems to be improving under Parky.
Could he be worth 5mil by the end of the season 🤔

Apparently it was shown live in one or two pubs and main game on football on 5. The highlights looked like we played better than we did. Already injury doubts for Tuesday which is a must not lose game. Wheater, Darby, Derik probably out but taylor back. 3 changes at the back, Little, taylor, Burke for Darby, wheater, Robinson. Cullen and karacan in the middle. Robinson left wing, Morais right and madine and alf up front. Thats what I would do.

Any slim chance of having a nap in sick are well and truly dashed this morning. I guess I should now aim for having a go so I can sit up in the sick bed and eat my Easter eggs when they come.
We could get cut to ribbons by the blades if we don't wake up and start on time and no early goals for them.
