Guildford 4, Birmingham 6.
Words almost as familiar to all of us as "Derby 5". Now add to these "Glasgow 1". Never in the history of the world has there been such a scandalous miscarriage of justice as the case of "Wee" Billy Davies, short in stature maybe but a giant of a manager who, by his own admission, has more managerial nous and talent than Clough Senior, Shankly and Clough Junior combined. Here is the truly heart-rending tale of one innocent man's bid to clear his name:

His words are enough to melt the hardest heart. His epic journey spent "chasing all the data", his deep discussions with "a very respected legal individual" all prove beyond the slightest doubt that he is the innocent victim of a malicious campaign which can only be motivated by jealousy. After all, as he reveals, he invariably creates "a wonderful spirit at clubs".
Brave, brave Billy. His integrity and morality remain intact and he says he will never, ever, be driven down to a lower level of football, bad news for all Forest fans still hoping for a triumphant third term. All will wish him well in his battle to sue them for breach of contract. As he correctly observes, under his leadership Forest were out of the top six for only 3 weeks in 34, all that despite Lady Luck never deigning to smile on him, numerous dubious refereeing decisions and, of course, terrible luck with injuries.
Happily, his spirit is undimmed and his resolve as fierce as ever.
"A smear campaign has driven me away. For whatever reason, they have decided to take away from me something that I love. They have put my career on pause. But I’ll be back soon. I don’t think there is any doubt that one day I will be back at the top of football."

Nice of his cousin, who he drafted in to fleece Forest, to give him advice though

Like 666 the lack of 3rd person Billy Davies suggested that he hadn't said any of this. But as it's from The Times, I figured they had edited his shi7e use of English.
On the underlying content, I didn't know there had been a smear campaign? I just thought there was a universal acceptance that he's a crap manager who no one likes.
Or am I wrong ... 🤔

What an odious little 5hit of a man. If he was that good he wouldn't be out of work, I'm sure.
Unless he was under contract still from Forest for the last 3yrs and would have to forefeit this if he got another job?

Come on lads you're being harsh, I think we've all smeared him at some point.

Almost feel sorry for him, he seems to be displaying acute paranoia and delusional thinking, on a serious note.

Just in case his well respected lawyer is monitoring the 606 smear campaign I shall refer to him as Willy Mavies from now on

His legal 'advisor' has been struck off.
The local press used to turn up to the home of football for a postmatch press conference [held before the game had been played] and the wee 9wat would film them! You couldn't make that up.

Careful 3R, we did the same with McClaren, (although he's not in the same league as Willy Mavies).

Move on, BD. Just got rid of Al Hasawi. Don't need another circus distracting things off the pitch!
