Just watching MOTD now and Chris Sutton is saying Mane's red card should be rescinded because what he did was accidental while Kevin Kilbane is saying it should stand as it was still dangerous play whether accidental or not.
When I saw it in real time initially I thought red was harsh but the more I watched it I thought it had to be a red.
I do feel sorry for Mane as he genuinely tried to win the ball and there was no malice there. If it was a Diego Costa or a Delle Alli there would be some doubt but Mane is never like that. The fact is though it was very dangerous play that could've caused serious injury.
When a player goes in with two feet or high studs it's not always malicious it's just instinct but it's still dangerous play.
I'm with Kilbane here and feel it should stand.
Matt Ritchie was lucky to get off with a yellow today in similar circumstances.

Nah, he's well overrated. Only plays well once every 10 games....aren't we back to that yet? I know that was the belief before Barca came in, it obviously changed to " he carried us and is amazing" when it looked like he was leaving? I just assumed we'd gone back to him being average again now?

Salah struggled at Chelsea. He is not anywhere near as good as Willian Pedro Haza.
He would also struggle at City. He is not a City-standard player.
